Acalypha hispida is a small shrub that can grow up to 12 feet long, the leaves have a long stalk, curved and the pointed at the end, have a thing like-net on the tip, 8 inches long, panicle are hanging on the root, one panicle have many red flowers composed into a 1-2 feet tall, these small flowers squeezed tightly in the panicle, each flower has androecium, soft pubescent like a Squirrel-tail, looks very beautiful.

The origin of Acalypha hispida is Burma, India’s archipelago, and New Guinea.

Acalypha hispida can be grown in both indoor and outdoor but usually good grown in a shady place and like a very moist soil and organic fertilizer.

It can be reproducing by grafting or stem cuttings.
